About Sit & Stay with Gee
Hi, I’m Georgia – but most people call me Gee! I’m the person behind Sit & Stay, a friendly, reliable dog-sitting service based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, offering care you can trust while you’re away.

My journey into pet sitting started over four years ago, simply by helping out family and friends. What began as a favour quickly became something I genuinely loved – spending time with animals and giving owners peace of mind. From there, Sit & Stay naturally grew into supporting pets and owners across the local community.
​
I specialise in caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes – from Dogue de Bordeaux and Labradors to Jack Russells and Sproodles – and I also have experience looking after cats, rabbits, geckos and other small animals. Every pet is different, and I take the time to understand their routines, personalities and little quirks so they feel settled, calm and happy in my care.

I offer in-home pet sitting, as I know kennels and boarding aren’t the right fit for every animal. Staying in their own home means your pet can stick to familiar routines and surroundings, helping reduce stress while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, with patience, attention and plenty of love.

I’m based in Melton Mowbray and cover a 5-mile radius, though I’m always happy to have a chat if you’re slightly further afield.

Your pet’s comfort, safety and happiness are always my top priority – so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing they’re in caring, dependable hands.

I was recommended Gee for my pet and house sitting needs by my sister in law last year. Gee made an appointment with me to visit my home and meet my animals (a Labrador, a sausage dog, two indoor rabbits, a cat and a gecko) and took time to form a bond with them before the date of her stay.

I trusted her from the word go. She came to my house as planned and stayed for a total of 4 nights and kept me updated daily with how they were all doing. I even got a picture of the pooches in the car when she had taken them for a walk in the country park. When I got home, all of my animals were happy, well cared for and my home was tidier than how I had left it. I was very nervous about leaving them and she could not have eased my worries more. Not long after I asked her availability and booked again and my Labrador was over the moon to see her again. So I could leave with peace of mind. She charges far too little for what she actually does and although she didn’t need to stay at my home for the duration I asked her to and it was doubly reassuring knowing someone I trusted was there in case of emergency.
